Heya,
I've just finished a graphics class at my university, and I did all my OpenGL programming at home with my Diamond StealthII doing the accelerated rendering.
Aside from some problems with menus under GLUT (this problem appeared with the most recent drivers, didn't exist under the '98 reference drivers ) I've had no problems whatsoever with the Rendition OpenGL drivers. A friend of mine who did his development on some Silicon Graphics machines said that he saw very little difference between performance (of his OpenGL application)on the SG machines and on my 233mmx with the 2100.
Then again, there are some machines that just don't seem to work well with the Rendition 2X00 chips. Maybe yours is one.
